Tip 1: Anyone can have a little seasonal holiday red in her hair. Temporary rinses are the perfect complement to any festive ensemble. Try a strawberry-toned rinse for blondes; coppers and burgundies for brunettes.
Tip 2: The little black dress is a hit every holiday season. Complement the look with a few contrasting bold highlights in your hair.
Tip 3: When coloring in a salon or at home, it's important to always apply a leave-in treatment with activated silicone and conditioning agents right after the first shampoo. Tip 4: Another great way to protect color is to install a shower filter that will remove hard water deposits from your shower water. Tip 5: Don't use color-depositing shampoos and conditioners to prolong color. Since hair is healthier at the root and drier the farther down the hair shaft, the pigments from these products are absorbed unevenly, compromising the integrity of the color. |
